Counselling Services
People come to counselling usually because they are experiencing distress, suffering, or discomfort and they want to do something to help themselves.
Counselling is a space of:
Exploration and insight
Collaboration and partnership
Safety and holding
Deep listening
Curiosity
Respect and non-judgement
Authenticity, genuineness, and empathy
I provide a person-centred, ethical, and trauma-informed space where you can explore issues important to you with professional support.
Each person is inherently unique, with their own goals, insights, and hopes for themselves. Our counselling sessions reflect this uniqueness, acknowledging and respecting client autonomy, self-determination, and the client's role as the expert in their own life.
My counselling style is compassion-focused, person-centred, and trauma-informed. While reflective listening underpins all sessions, I use an integrated approach depending on the individual needs of each person.
I have a particular interest in Compassion-Focused Therapy, and use this modality as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, Socratic questioning, and Motivational Interviewing.
